A case of the Mondays, Tuesdays,….

What about people who work at Chili’s who have Mondays and Tuesdays off from work, huh? What about them? Did anyone ask them?

After analyzing the survey responses of over 340,000 Americans, researchers have concluded that people hate Mondays just as much as they hate Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Fridays, however, are the exception: That’s the one weekday people don’t seem to mind.

“Despite our global beliefs about lousy Mondays, we conclude that this belief should be abandoned,” said   Arthur Stone, author of the study which was in the Journal of Positive Psychology, whatever the hell that is. ”Cultural myths may vastly over-emphasize actual day of the week mood patterns.”

As explained in the study, the reason Monday became universally known as the most depressing day is due to the significant mood swing experienced between Sunday and the first work day of the week.
